Metropolitan University College is a university of applied sciences with campuses in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark.

Metropolitan University College offers Bachelor's Degree programmes, Academy Profession Degree programmes, postgraduate studies, and conducts applied research and development activities in welfare-sector subjects such as health, rehabilitation, welfare technology, management, pedagogy and social work.

The Faculties

Metropolitan University College has two Faculties; the Faculty of Health and Technology and Social Science and Pedagogy. 

Bachelor's Degree Programmes

Bachelor's Degree Programmes are offered in: Nursing, Radiography, Midwifery, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Biomedical Laboratory Sciences, Chemical and Biotechnical Science, Education, Social Work, Public Administration, Nutrition and Health, Global Nutrition and Health, Emergency and Risk Management. Bachelor's Degree Programme in Chemical and Biotechnical Technology, Food Technology and Process Technology.
The Bachelor's Degree programmes have a duration of 3½–4 years equivalent to 210-240 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System).

Academy Profession Degree Programmes

Metropolitan also offers Academy Profession Degree programmes lasting 2–2½ years, equivalent to 120-150 ECTS in:
Business and Public Administration,Chemical and Biotechnical Science, as well as Nutrition and Technology.Some of the Academy Profession Degree programmes offer students a top-up Bachelor’s Degree programme after completion.

Theory and Plactice

All Metropolitan’s study programmes feature dynamic interplay between theory and practice. During the programmes, students receive researchand development-based teaching related to professional practice and complete one or more internships (totalling 5–12 months) in their field of study in the public and/or private sector.

Postgraduate Studies and Diploma Degree Programmes

Metropolitan offers a range of opportunities for further specialisation for qualified practitioners through postgraduate studies.
Activities in the continuing and further education field include Diploma programmes, courses and seminars. These are closely related to the subject fields of the Bachelor programmes and mainly target Bachelor's Degree holders with some years of working experience, usually students aged 25 years and older.
Several of the Diploma courses are also aimed at sectors other than health and welfare.

Tuition Fees

Higher education in Denmark is usually provided free of charge for all EU/EEA students and for students who are participating in an exchange
programme. All other students have to pay a tuition fee. The postgraduate studies typically charge tuition fees for all students.

Metropolitan University College offers a few scholarships to very highly qualified students.
