The Biomedical Laboratory Science Programme is classified as a medium-length higher education programme, completion of which confers the right to the designation Bachelor Degree in Biomedical Laboratory Science.

The programme is prescribed to 3½ years of study, or 210 ECTS credits (ECTS = European Credit Transfer System). The programme consists of interrelated studies at the Faculty (135 ECTS credits) and studies at approved clinical laboratory departments (75 ECTS credits).
The programme provides students with the analytical, practical and ethical knowledge and competences to function within the biomedical-laboratory specialities in the health sector and in related companies, both in Denmark and abroad. Graduates of the programme possess theoretical and practical qualifications on a high professional level, and are capable of taking up professional employment right away.
The Biomedical Laboratory Science Programme is divided into 14 modules:  12 ten-week modules (15 ECTS credits per module), 1 seven-week module (10 ECTS) and 1 twelve-week module (20 ECTS). Almost all of the modules incorporate shorter or longer periods of clinical studies.
