Bachelor of Midwifery
The 3½-year programme consists of 14 modules. Graduates are qualified to provide a full range of prenatal, natal and antenatal care for uncomplicated pregnancies, and to work with doctors on pregnancies that involve complications. They are also trained to work as part of interdisciplinary teams.
The programme weighs theory and clinical practice equally. The theoretical component consists of lectures, casework and projects. Clinical practice takes place in maternity, obstetrics, prenatal, neonatal and gynaecological wards in hospitals in the Copenhagen area, Hillerød and Næstved. The clinical practice makes use of the learning tool portfolio.
