Applicants from countries outside the EU/EEA are invited to apply for admission to the Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Global Nutrition and Health.

Application deadlines

15 March at 12.00 (noon): The application deadline for all international applicants applying for admission. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered. 

To apply for admission you must meet these requirements
  • Admission requirements

    All Non-EU applicants must fulfill the following admission requirements:

    • A recognised entry qualification: An upper secondary school leaving certificate (+ supplementary higher education studies) that makes you eligible for entry to higher education in Denmark.

      Please consult the website for the Danish Agency for Higher Education for information about recognition of foreign qualifications for entry to higher education in Denmark. 

    • Specific admission requirements: Chemistry + at least one of the following: Biology or Mathematics or Social and Political Science on a level equivalent to Danish upper secondary school C-level (min. 75-125 hours' teaching on upper secondary school level).
  • English language requirement

    All Non-EU applicants must document English language proficiency by submitting documentation for one of the following international English tests:

    • IELTS Academic - required score: 6.5
    • TOEFL - required score: Paper based score of 560, computer based score of 230, or Internet based score of 83 
      Please use code 5341 when registering for the test to indicate Metropolitan University College as a score recipient
    • University of Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) - required score: A passing grade (A, B or C)

    The test result must not be older than two years at the time of the application deadline.

Complete the following steps to apply
  • Step 1: Prepare your application

    After you have read the application guide: Gather and scan the required documentation for your fulfilment of the admission requirements and arrange for certified copies of educational documents to be sent to Metropolitan University College directly from the issuing institutions or have the documents certified by the issuing institution or the Danish embassy in your home country.

  • Step 2: Submit your application

    You must submit your application and all required documentation electronically in the application portal www.optagelse.dk, which opens for applications on 1 February.

    If you have a Danish CPR-number you must apply using this and your Danish NemID.

    If you do not have a Danish CPR-number, you will - once you have submitted your application - receive a signature page with your application ID. You must email this signature page to optagelse@phmetropol.dk before the application deadline.

  • Step 3: Confirmation of receipt of your application

    After you have submitted your electronic application, you will receive a confirmation email from Metropolitan University College along with information on how to log in to our admissions portal.

    Within approx. 2-3 weeks of receiving your application, Metropolitan University College will contact you if any documentation is missing from your application. It is important that you respond promptly to our request for further documentation.

  • Step 4: Assessment of your application

    Once we have received all the required documentation from you, Metropolitan University College will inform you whether you fulfill the admission requirements - in which case you will be invited for an interview (conducted in person or by Skype) shortly after the deadline on 15 March.

  • Step 5: Assessment of your application

    If you are found eligible for admission, you will receive a conditional offer of admission with an invoice to be used to pay the administration fee and tuition fee for the first semester.

  • Step 6: Final letter of admission and application for study residence permit

    Once we have received the required payment, you will receive your final letter of admission and information on how to apply for a study residence permit with the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration.
