About the programmeAbout the programme

The Bachelor's Degree Programme in Biomedical Laboratory Science is a 3 ½-year professional education.

The programme alternates between lessons conducted on campus in the heart of Nørrebro and practical and clinical training in different laboratories at hospitals across Zealand.

Students are trained to understand lab examinations and analyses as well as ensuring that the analysis results are of high quality. To do so, many different skills are required in the areas of chemistry, biology, physics and mathematics.

Teamwork is imperative for maintaining good working relations with colleagues at the hospitals and communicating with patients is essential for graduates wanting to specialise in patient contact.

The programme offers theoretical and practical training in the following areas:

  • Clinical biochemistry
  • Clinical physiology and nuclear medicine
  • Clinical immunology
  • Clinical microbiology
  • Clinical neurophysiology
  • Pathological anatomy.

Students are guaranteed internships throughout the course.
