About the programmeAbout the programme

The Bachelor's Degree Programme in Midwifery has a duration of 3½ years and after graduation, students hold the title Bachelor of Midwifery.

The degree programme consists of a wide range of subjects, ensuring that students as newly qualified midwives possess the knowledge and skills required to independently handle the normal pregnancy, childbirth and maternity period, which make out the midwife's core service areas.

On the Bachelor's Degree Programme in Midwifery, students engage in varying academic activities. In addition to regular classroom teaching, students participate in group work, workshops, schedule-free study days and written assignments. Interning in clinical departments makes out half of the degree programme, where students carry out tasks in relation to childbirth, maternity and hospitalised pregnant women.
