The Department of Nursing is nationally and internationally known for its international activities among educators and students.

The international activities are focused on quality research and development in collaboration with 40 carefully selected partners.

The Department of Nursing collaborates with a wide range of partners through bilateral agreements in Asia, Australia, and with European and Nordic institutions through Erasmus and Nordplus. In addition, the Department of Nursing is part of several networks: Florence, COHEHRE and four networks under the Nordic Council of Ministers. These networks form basis for collaboration among educators in teaching, research and development.


  • Each semester, approx. 100 students spend 10 weeks abroad at one of University College Copenhagen's many partner institutions
  • Each semester, approx. 30 students go on short-term stays abroad in connection with their elective module during the 7th semester
  • Each semester, the Department of Nursing receives approx. 60 exchange students from our partner institutions. Incoming internship students undergo clinical training with highly qualified nurses and are under guidance with an English-speaking daily supervisor.
