Women Deliver 2016 samler i maj beslutningstagere, non profit-organisationer, virksomheder og unge fra hele verden til verdens største konference om ligestilling, seksuel og reproduktiv sundhed samt bæredygtig udvikling for piger og kvinder overalt på kloden. Konferencen bliver afholdt for fjerde gang. Nu i København.

Professionshøjskolen Metropol, Sex & Samfund og Sundhedsnetværket deltager i Women Deliver 2016 og holder som optakt til konferencen en Sundhedsdag, der sætter fokus på kvinders sundhed set i globalt og nationalt perspektiv.

Sundhedsdagen finder sted onsdag den 11. maj kl. 9.00-14.00 på Metropol, Sigurdsgade 26, 2200 København N. Deltagere kan se frem til en debat- og netværksevent, der tager hul på centrale temaer fra Women Deliver 2016.
 
Program (Klokken 9-12)
  • Velkomst ved Stefan Hermann, rektor på Professionshøjskolen Metropol 
  • Ekspertinterview om verdens sundhedsudfordringer for kvinder og betydningen af FNs nye verdensmål med CEO for Women Deliver Katja Iversen og Technical officer i WHO Isabel Yordi
  • Paneldebat om Maternal Health med Sex & Samfund, Maternity Foundation, Jordemoderforeningen samt Masanga Hospital i Sierra Leone
  • Paneldebat om kvinders sundhed generelt med Danner, Læger Uden Grænser, AIDS-Fondet, Professionshøjskolen Metropol og Røde Kors

Mød din yndlings-NGO. Klokken 12 åbner vi Markedspladsen. Her kan alle interesserede dyrke netværket og møde studerende med international erfaring fra verdens brændpunkter samt repræsentanter fra sundhedsorganisationer med fokus på kvinders rettigheder.

Arrangementet foregår på engelsk. Deltagelse er gratis, men tilmelding er nødvendig på grund af forplejning. Tilmeld dig via formularen nederst på siden.


Event: Women's Health in a Global Perspective

Every day. All year. Every two minutes a woman dies of complications related to childbirth or pregnancy worldwide.

Women Deliver 2016 gathers policy makers, non-profit organizations, private sector and young people from around the world to the biggest global conference on gender equality, sexual and reproductive health and sustainable development for girls and women across the globe. The conference is being held for the fourth time on 16-19 May, 2016. This time in Copenhagen.

Metropolitan University College, the International Health for Development Network and The Danish Family Planning Association are participating in the Women Deliver Conference 2016 and in the lead up to the conference organise an event for health sector stakeholders and students, which focuses on women's health from a global perspective. 

The event will both provide expert insights, debate and excellent opportunities for networking and takes place on Wednesday 11 May at. 9:00 to 14:00 at Metropolitan University College, Sigurdsgade 26, 2200 Copenhagen N. 

Program (9-12)

  • Welcome by Stefan Hermann, Rector at Metropolitan University College
  • Expert interview on Women’s global health challenges and opportunities with CEO from Women Deliver Katja Iversen and Technical officer, WHO Isabel Yordi
  • Panel discussion on Maternal Health with the Danish Family Planning Association, Maternity Foundation, Midwifes Association, and Masanga Hospital in Sierra Leone.
  • Panel discussion on women's health with Danner, Doctors without borders, The AIDS-Foundation, Professionshøjskolen Metropol and the Red Cross

At 12 o’clock we are opening for networking and market place activities. Meet students with international experience as well as representatives from all participating organizations focusing on women's rights.

The language of the event is English. The event is free, but registration is required due to catering. See below.
